Italy lose Bortolussi
February 14th, 2008
Italian full-back David Bortolussi has been ruled out of the rest of the Six Nations with a fractured shoulder.
The Montpellier player, who kicked 14 points in his side’s 23-19 defeat to England last weekend suffered the injury in training with his club on Monday and it has been confirmed he will be out of action for six weeks.
Italian team manager Carlo Checchinato told Gazetta dello Sport: “I’m disappointed for David. Especially in the last game against England, he seemed to have progressed.”
Italy will announce a replacement for the full-back tomorrow.
