London Wasps Director of Rugby Ian McGeechan has been named Guinness Premiership Director of Rugby of the Month for March and Harlequins’ Danny Care has won the Guinness Premiership Player of the Month award.

Wasps have won all three of their Guinness Premiership matches in March, including their first ever win over Leicester Tigers at Welford Road and they are now back in contention for a place in the Premiership semi-finals.

McGeechan pipped Harlequins’ Dean Richards to the gong. Richards has guided Quins to three wins from their four Premiership matches in March, lifting them to third in the table. Their only defeat in March came at Adams Park in round 15.

Former Leeds man Care has taken the No.9 shirt away from World Cup Finalist Andy Gomarsall at the Stoop and is hotly tipped to be included on England’s summer tour of New Zealand in June.
